After careful consultation with local agencies, government officials, physicians on the REMAC and a complete ALS system analysis, NEALS has submitted a proposal and Certificate of Need Application for an Advanced Life Support – Paramedic First Response service.
The Certificate of Need was approved by REMSCO on January 22, 2007 and our paramedics have begun their initial stand-up training for operation of our Paramedic Support Units (P.S.U.). The PSUs will be strategically placed throughout Rensselaer County to provide optimal response times to the sick and injured.
